Club Activities

The club has a variety of activities that members participate in over the year. Members don't have to participate in all activities and you don't even have to attend every week (although we encourage you to).

Club Mornings

Club Mornings are held every Saturday from 7am while Merrylands Swimming Centre is open.
Members compete against each other in a variety of competitions, with a focus on fun and self improvement. Special activities such as BBQs, FunDays and novalty races are also held on Club Mornings.

Once you are a member of the club there is a small fee for each race that you compete in each week (50c or $1 depending on the event).

More information on the Club Races is available in the Merrylands ASC Guide.

Squad Training

Qualified coaches run Training Sessions during the week and on Saturday Mornings.
Training Sessions are held at Merrylands Swimming Centre during summer and Granville Swimming Centre during winter.
The Training Sessions focus on improving swimmer's strokes, fitness and endurance with sessions for both Children and Adults.

Once you are a member of the club there is a monthly fee for the Training sessions.

Inter-Club Meets

Members of the club often attend swimming carnivals held by other clubs and organisations throughout the year - from small club meets right through to large State Championships.
Members are encouraged to attend meets to improve their swimming, but it is not compulsory. Our club holds our own meet, usually in February each year which members are encouraged to attend.

Once you are a member of the club there is a small fee for each race that you compete in at each meet (starting from $3.50).

More information on Swimming Meets is available in the Merrylands ASC Guide.

Social Activities

The club holds a number of social activities throughout the year from BBQs to Bus Trips. Some are linked to the other club activities, some are seperate. All members and their families are encouraged to participate, but it is not compulsory.

Each activity usually has an additional fee.

Information on activities is usually published in the News section of the website and the Club Newsletter.
