Merrylands' team of 4 swimmers achieved some excellent results at the NSW Metropolitan Championships on the weekend.
Reece Tomkinson and Alison Johnston both swam particularly well, with Reece swimming new personal best times in 5 of his 6 events and Alison swimming new PBs in both of her events.
Reece's best result was in the 100m Backstroke, where he finished in 15th place in a new PB of 1:02.23. He went on to swim new personal best times in his 100m Butterfly, 200m Backstroke, 100m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke.
Alison took 0.08 off her 50m Freestyle PB to qualify for the State Open Championships for the first time in 28.18, and also swam a new PB in her 100m Freestyle.
