While most of our squad was relaxing on their break, Coralie Havea was earning international experience as she competed at the Belau Games in Palau.

The Belau Games is a multi-sport event organised by the Palau National Olympic Committee.  Coralie represented the state of Koror and achieved wonderful results, bringing home extra baggage with all the medals she won.

While only 13 years old, Coralie swam in the Open/Masters events and achieved the following results:

Individual Events
3rd 50m backstroke
3rd 100m backstroke
3rd 200m freestyle
4th 50m freestyle
4th 50m butterfly
5th 50m breaststroke
4th 100m IM

Relay Events
2nd 4x50m medley relay
1st 4x100m freestyle relay
2nd 4x50m freestyle relay
2nd 4x100m medley relay

This was a great experience for Coralie to learn new skills such as circle swimming on the right in warm-ups, resting at the pool between sessions and dealing with weather conditions with a distant typhoon. Coralie also had a wonderful time making new friends and swimming in front of her Grandma.
