25 Medals at State Masters by Alison Sakurovs - 1st November, 2012

Merrylands' Masters team of seven swimmers returned from the recent NSW State Masters Short Course Championships in Woy Woy with State Champions in fourteen events, and twenty five medals in total.

Graham Edwards, who had never won a medal before, took home gold in 2 events and also won a silver. Brittany Johnson, Alison Sakurovs and Steven Nguyen all took home three gold medals each. Mathew Edsall won two gold medals, Peter Johnston won 1 gold while Ian Wilson took home a bronze in the 200m Backstroke.

At the end of the weekend, our club was presented with the Division 3 Champions trophy for topping the pointscore.
