Championship races
This morning we are holding the 400 metre Freestyle Championship races. Good luck to everyone competing.
Remember:
- to qualify to swim in a Championship race you must have swum that stroke and distance already this season;
- check the entry limit conditions for the number of races you can swim on a morning Championship races are held.
Masters NSW Long Distance Championships
Congratulations to Alison Sakurovs who competed in the Masters NSW Long Distance Championships last Sunday at Granville Swimming Centre.
Alison won both the 1500 metre Freestyle & 400 metre Freestyle events in her age group

Don’t forget to keep an eye out for someone making a silly mistake during the season. We like to recognise and reward all efforts during the season and the P-Plate award is the perfect way to do this for something funny that happens at club.

Our partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation allows supporters to make tax-deductible donations to the club.
Funds raised will go towards upgrading and maintaining our timing equipment and results systems, providing better facilities for you, our members.

Make sure you have Saturday 21st December in your calendar, as we will be holding our Christmas club event.
A flyer advertising the morning is attached, so keep the morning free to come and enjoy the celebrations.
Infrastructure Grant Application
Whilst we await the long promised modernisation of Merrylands Swimming Centre we have this week submitted a grant application through the Office of Responsible Gambling Clubgrants program for funds to undertake some infrastructure improvements at the swimming centre.
The grant sought is for a new shade shelter at the deep end of the 50m pool and update of the male and female changerooms. Stay tuned for more information once we hear if we have been successful with the application.
