And the Spring Racing Carnival is underway

The swimmers have jumped from the blocks and made the first turn, now for the 2^nd week of the Spring Racing Carnival 😊

A reminder the Swimming Centre opens at 7.00am (during September) for setup and races commence at 7.15am, with a finish within 90 minutes.

Swimming NSW Registration is open

Registration for the 2025/2026 season is open and instructions on how to re-register for the summer are on the How to Join page. Swimmers can enter our Spring Racing Carnival before renewing their 2025/2026 memberships. To enter races after 1^st October you will need to have renewed your membership.

We are again providing Free Membership for swimmers 8yrs & Under, who regularly swim in our club races. See the club website for more information about this.

Metro South West LC Championships

The Metro South West LC Area Championships will be held on Saturday 25^th & Sunday 26^th October at SOPAC.

Entries close mid-October. We will provide more information once the program of events is published.

Cumberland Inter-Club Cup

It is our turn to again host the Cumberland Inter-Club Cup to be held on Saturday 15^th November at Merrylands Swimming Centre.

The Social Committee is working hard to finalise all the details to make it a great afternoon again.

We will be using our set of touch pads for the meet so this is an early reminder that the meet is a whole of club event. Your help on the day will be needed and greatly appreciated.

Walk to Defeat MND Fundraising

Our target goal of $5,000 has almost been reached, with donations now exceeding $4,900. A big thank you to everyone who has supported this important fund-raising event.

Please continue to spread the word about the fundraising effort to all of your friends and we hope you are able to join in on the fundraising walk event on Sunday 2^nd November at Blaxland Riverside Park, Sydney Olympic Park.

Fat Jak’s sponsorship

As we advised last week Fat Jak’s (a local business) have joined with us this season.

Their sponsorship includes $20 MVP vouchers and 10% discount family loyalty cards. Last week saw the first of our lucky swimmers prizes drawn. Congratulations to Ian Wilson & Joseph Assi

Fat Jak’s are located in Merrylands (MASON & MAIN 5/1 Main Lane) and they provide a range of delicious burgers, parmas and side dishes.
