Coralie Havea kicked off Merrylands' campaign at the NSW Senior State Age Championships today.
Coralie swam her 3rd fastest 50m Freestyle ever, which is a wonderful achievement at this level of competition. She finished 29th out of the 12-year-old girls. Coralie qualified for this event based on her fantastic performance at the Inter-Club Cup in November and then reduced her personal best time at the NSW Youth Metropolitan Championships just two weeks ago.
This is the first time Coralie has qualified for this high-level meet, and it has been a great learning experience for her, which will be put to great use in her future swimming career.
Jay and Leo are our next competitors at the championships and will race on Wednesday in the 50m Breaststroke.
