Reece wins Bronze at Metro South West - Latest News

Merrylands had 6 swimmers representing the club at the recent 2014 Metro South West Open and Age Championships held at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre over the 25th and 26th of October, 2014. The team had a stellar performance and achieved a medal, 7 finalists and 13 personal best times.

Reece Tomkinson won a bronze medal in the Boys 13 years 100m Freestyle and also achieved personal best times in all his other events.

Sophia Vicic had a fantastic meet and PB’d in all her events bar one (in which she was only 0.03 off pace) including a PB in the 200m Individual Medley after already achieving a 20 second PB in this event 2 weeks earlier. Sophia also took 17 seconds off her 100m Butterfly time.

Paige Attard was a finalist in the Girls 9 & Under 100m Freestyle and achieved an 8 second personal best time in the process. Tatiana Seravatu also swam an 8 second personal best time in the Girls 12 Years 100m Backstroke.
