Jay Shrestha represented Merrylands on Day 5 at the NSW Senior State Age Championships today.
Jay had a fabulous swim in the 12-14 years Boys 50m Breaststroke. Jay not only reduced his personal best time from the NSW Junior Metropolitan Championships 2 weeks ago, but also took a full second off to have his first sub-40-second swim with a blistering 39.07, finishing 12th overall in the 12-year-old age group.
This is the first time Jay has qualified for this high-level meet, and we are so proud of the progress he has made over the last 12 months.
